The Lackeys in Vese, Hungary

Our family came from Calvary Chapel Lynden, Washington a year ago. We started out at the Calvary Chapel Bible College Europe with our three children as Missions Training Program students. The program was
the bridge that we needed to transition into the life of living on the mission field. God used
that time to shape and chisel us as well as give us a network of friends which is so
incredibly valuable now that we are living and serving in Kaposvar and Vese Hungary.
Our children attended the elementary school offered at the college and made wonderful friends
which helped them adjust to living in a foreign country.
Through one of the weekend outreach opportunities offered by the college we were able to go
Kaposvar/Vese to serve. Soon after our family began taking the three hour train ride every
weekend to serve in the two churches. It was an awesome opportunity to be using the tools and
gifts that God was giving-right away in a real life setting.
After completing the Missions
Training Program we moved to Kaposvar to serve full time in Vese and to assist the Kaposvar
church.
We are currently hosting the midweek Bible Study in our home in Kaposvar. Tom has come on as
assistant pastor to Jeremy Ampe in Vese and is teaching some of the Bible studies,
leading the Friday night youth group, and head up some major building projects at the church in
Vese.
Heather is plugged in with leading children’s ministry at both churches. We are so
blessed to be a part of what God is doing here in Hungary.
We see the value of sending teams to serve in existing churches and are excited about the
possibility of hosting teams from the Calvary Chapel Bible College and from the Missions Training Program, as they seek God’s will for their lives.
Abiding in Him,
Tom, Heather, Lindsay, Holly and Thomas Lackey

Israel Class Trip - Coming Soon
We are excited to announce our April 2007 tour of Israel. On our journey we will visit the
6th century BC city of Petra, and marvel at the ancient architecture carved out of sandstone.
Our tour will take us sailing on the Sea of Galilee, discovering the history and culture of
Old Jerusalem, even floating on the Dead Sea.
We'll have the opportunity to be baptized in the Jordan River, and to have communion at the
Garden Tomb and be reminded, "He is risen indeed!" Daily we'll have devotions come to life at
historical sites, like the mount where Elijah called down fire, looking out onto the valley
of Armageddon, and in temples where the disciples enjoyed fellowship. We will walk where
Jesus walked.
All of our students are invited to experience the Bible coming alive as they join us on this
magnificent 10-day tour of Israel. If you'd like more information please email
missions@ccbce.com for details.

Summer Events 2006
This summer's conference season began in June with our Eastern European Pastors and Leaders Conference (Foundations Conference) and ended in August with Calvary Chapel Budapest conferences. In between, besides accomodating many other Christian conferences, we also had the Northern Hungary and Southern Hungary Calvary Chapel Churches Conferences.
In July we had 20 young people here for 6 weeks. They were part of our A Vision For Life discipleship program. Students, staff and AVFL leaders were all blessed by getting involved. We had a great bunch of young people here who experienced great growth through this program.
It is a great joy to serve God's people, and during the summer conference season, we are able to do that in a big way. Student volunteers came for our Summer of Service program from the US, Hungary, Serbia, Poland, Slovenia, Canada, and as far away as Ethiopia in order to serve the Lord and grow in their relationship with him.
