What is Sin?

Sin is simply NOT hitting the mark perfectly!

The word sin is actually an archery term which means you didn't hit the exact, perfect, only centre, of the target. You fell short of the mark.

You see, the Bible is clear when it says...

Rom. 3:23 For all have sinned,

and come short of the glory of God;

You and I know we sin, do things we should not, things we wish later that we had not done. Everyone, except Jesus Christ, is included here. And if you think for some reason that you have never sinned, the Bible has something to say to you...

1John 1:8 If we say that we have no sin,

we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.

What hope is there you ask? Jesus died that all men, that includes you, might be saved from eternal separation from God, spending eternity in a place called hell.

John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

Remember something very important...

John 15:13 Greater love has no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.

Jesus loves you so much, right now, that He died so that you don't have to suffer eternal death, but that you might have eternal life. It is a free gift and you can open it up right now. The Bible says...

Rom. 10:9 That if you shall confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, and shall believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved.

Rom. 10:10 For with the heart man believes unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

Rom. 10:11 For the scripture says, Whoever believes on Him shall not be ashamed.

Rom. 10:12 For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon Him.

Enter into an eternal relationship with Jesus Christ now. Talk to Him. Ask Him to come into your life and help you out. Ask Him to forgive your sin. Ask Him to heal those people your actions have hurt (when you miss the mark the arrow hits something right?). Ask Him to live inside you and be Lord of your life. You don't have to be alone. The true and living God of the universe wants to be your friend. Ask Him now and enter into eternal life.
